At the Austin Center for Radiation Oncology (ACFRO) we’re proud to describe ourselves as a high volume prostate cancer treatment center. This means that we specifically concentrate on prostate cancer treatment. In fact, 99% of what we do at ACFRO is prostate cancer care. This benefits the patient because they’re working with a team of professionals who know the nuances of prostate cancer radiation therapy. At the Austin Center for Radiation Oncology, we are also pleased to offer patients world-class advanced technologies for treating cancer, and for managing cancer symptoms, that is CLOSE TO HOME. We utilize External Beam Radiation Therapy EBRT (including Intensity-Modulated and Image-Guided Radiation Treatment – IMRT/IGRT) options. In 2019, we expanded our facility to better serve current and future patients, by adding a second radiation vault – the Halcyon Radiation Therapy System.

While treating men with prostate cancer is about 99% of our practice, we also treat patients with testicular, bone, and bladder cancers. Additionally, we treat men who have been diagnosed with gynecomastia – an enlargement of the breasts that can be triggered by prostate cancer androgen suppression therapy.
